A week after selling off its Giraffe restaurant chain, Tesco has confirmed it has also sold its Dobbies Garden Centre business.
The chain was bought for £271 million by a group fronted by Midlothian Capital Partners and Hattington Capital.
There are currently 35 Dobbies Garden Centres across Scotland, England and Northern Ireland. Since being bought by Tesco in 2007, it has grown to become the UK's second largest garden specialist retailer.
The chain's new owners have vowed to further grow the business across the UK, while Tesco will continue to refocus on its core business.
