Graze expands from online to on shelves

Graze is expanding beyond online onto shop shelves, after announcing deals which will see its range of healthier snacks sold in Sainsburys, Boots and WHSmith stores.

The snacks-by-post retailer, which launched in the UK six years ago, will now have its products sold in 1,200 stores nationwide, the latest stage of a major expansion which saw it launch in the United States in 2013.

Graze hopes the new deals will enable it to reach different types of customers.

Sainsburys intends to position the Graze snacks, which will be priced between 99p and 1.49, next to tills in a bid to appeal to customers who would normally impulse buy sweets or chocolates.

Graze has already trialled the 12 product range - including nuts, flapjacks and pretzels - that will be sold in store in selected Boots outlets, where the company said delivered the highest rate of sales of any snack and proved a hit even with customers who are not normally tempted by snacks.
