Customer complaints have led Morrisons to promise to take away the temptation of sweets and chocolates at check outs.
Instead, customers craving a post shopping pick me up will be able to choose from an array of healthy alternatives, such as fruit and nut products, as they stand in line to pay for their shopping.
The news, which will no doubt bring sighs of relief from parents fed up with their offspring's temptation induced tantrums on shopping trips, has been welcomed by Public Health England.
