New Look has announced plans to open standalone menswear stores and hopes to have the first five up and running by the end of this financial year.
The retailer described menswear as a "key strategic priority” and said the opening of the new menswear stores was a natural next step for the brand.
The announcement came as New Look announced pre-tax profits for the first quarter of its financial year of £19.3 million, a rise of nine percent. UK like for like sales were up 4.1 percent, while New Look's website sales showed a 38.7 percent increase. There was also a staggering 97 percent rise in orders on the mobile site during the same period.
