Ocado is expected to announce buoyant half year results this week amid growing speculation that it is close to a deal which would allow the company to expand overseas for the first time.
The online grocer announced in February this year that it had developed a system which would allow it to sell its technology to retailers outside the UK. The firm has already said it wants to close its first such deal this year.
While confirmation of an overseas deal is not expected imminently, City experts expect Ocado's half year results will show a rise in sales and profits. Shareholder confidence in the company is high, with share prices up nearly 30 percent since the end of March.
