Sweet smell of success for The Fragrance Shop

The Fragrance Shop is enjoying the sweet smell of success with a sales rise of 11 percent in the past year.

The chain reported that profits increased from 12.4 million last year to 13.2 million.

With 17 new stores opened during the past year and 20 more in the pipeline, The Fragrance Shop is taking an increasingly large share of the luxury perfume market.

It plans to launch its first in-house designed fragrance, 1667, later this year and also now offers customers the chance to shop from a large back catalogue of old favourite fragrances.
