The vinyl revival reached a historic milestone at the beginning of December, with sales outstripping digital music album downloads for the first time.
According to the Entertainment Retailers Association (ERA), £2.4 million was spent in one week on vinyl albums, compared to £2.1 million on digital album downloads.
This compares to £1.2 million being spent on vinyl in the same week last year, compared to £4.4 million on digital.
Vinyl sales have been steadily creeping up over the last eight years, and it is now stocked by many large retailers including Sainsbury's and Tesco.
