Discount supermarket Aldi is making its first foray into the premium skincare market with the launch of a new caviar-containing face cream.
The Lacura range will cost just £6.99 for a 50gm pot of day cream, while a similar product containing some of the same luxury ingredients produced by a leading beauty brand retails for almost £300.
And Aldi is not alone in taking on the big names in luxury skincare. Superdrug is poised to launch a new range of day and night creams containing black truffle, another high end ingredient claimed to rejuvenate mature skin.
The Superdrug products will retail for £14.99, vastly cheaper than a product containing black truffle produced by a luxury beauty brand which sells for £255.
