It sounds like the stuff of science fiction novels, but online giant Amazon has launched a new local weather personalised shopping service.
The new service, launched on April 25 as part of Amazon's #NowitsSummer campaign, offers products to shoppers based on the weather where they are - for example, sunglasses and suncream on a sunny day and umbrellas and wet weather gear when it is rainy.
The new service uses technology that looks at weather data as part of an algorithm so it can suggest products suited to the forecast in the individual customer's location.
Amazon hopes that the new service will heighten its understanding of when British consumers start making summer purchases.
