Less than two years after it rose from the ashes of the BHS collapse, BHS.com has been scrapped by its owners.
Announcing the move, Qatari parent company Al Mana Group said they were closing BHS.com down to focus instead on their franchise business BHS International.
Al Mana Group launched BHS.com in September 2016, just four months after the iconic British department store fell into administration.
The decision to shut down the website has come as a surprise to many, particularly since the online company has posted a number of promising results over the last 20 months.
Only weeks ago it announced a sales increase of 23 percent in the six months ending April 28, and a surge in gross profits of 69 percent.
The demise of BHS.com will put 18 jobs at risk. The website will be closed down by June 27, with final deliveries made by July 5.
