Nearly 1,000 jobs are at risk after the collapse of the group behind fashion brands Jacques Vert and Windsmoor.
Calvetron Brands, which also owns clothing brands Précis, Eastex and Dash, has appointed administrators Duff & Phelps to try and find a buyer for the business.
The company, which was founded in 1972 and sells its brands through 300 shops in department stores such as Debenhams, House of Fraser and M&Co, will continue to trade while efforts to find a new owner are underway.
The first few months of 2018 have proved a torrid time for retailers, with the collapse of a number of well-known high street names, including Maplin, Toys R Us and East.
The future of a number of other well-known names - including New Look, Debenhams and House of Fraser - looks uncertain.
