A frosty reception from customers for its Spring/Summer 2015 collection has deepened the woes of fashion retailer French Connection.
The troubled high street chain has announced a pre-tax loss of £7.9 million in the first half of the year, compared to a £3.9 million loss during the same period in 2014.
French Connection has already closed six underperforming stores this year, with further closures in the pipeline. With group revenue falling 9.8 percent to £75.8 million during the half year, hopes are now riding on strong sales of the chain's Autumn/Winter 15 collection.
