Big Four supermarket Sainsbury's is to trial a new pizza takeaway service.
The trial, due to run for three months in the retailer's Redhill, Cambridge Eddington and Bradford stores, lets customers order by phone and collect at a time that suits them.
They will have a choice of either a ten inch or 14 inch pizza. There are three base options - deep pan, stone baked and thin and crusty - and customers can select from a range of toppings, or create their own combination for an additional cost.
A ten inch pizza will cost £3.60 and the larger 14 inch option will be priced at £4. A number of side dishes and drinks will also be on the takeaway menu.
It is understood customers will be able to pay for their meal at the collection counter, thus avoiding having to queue at checkouts while their meal gets cold.
