Toy retailer 'The Entertainer' is to hold a quiet hour every day of half term to make its stores less daunting for children with autism to visit.

In store music will be switched off for the first hour after opening each day until February 23 in all the chain's UK stores to help create a calmer environment for autistic youngsters.

The Entertainer said it had been exploring ways in which it could make its stores more comfortable places for children with autism and hoped the quiet hour initiative would make families feel confident about visiting its stores.
