Toys R Us is to cease to exist in the UK, with the loss of around 3,000 jobs.
Administrators Moorfields Advisory have confirmed that efforts to find a buyer for the collapsed retailer have failed.
The store closure process begun late last year with 26 loss making stores which will now be expanded to include the 75 remaining UK premises.
Moorfields said these stores would remain open and operating until further notice, but estimated the closure programme would take around six weeks to complete. This means the last Toys R Us stores could be closing their doors by the end of April.
All affected staff have been informed and Moorfields said they would be paid right up until their last day of employment.
