Sainsbury's has become the latest supermarket brand to launch a premium fashion range.
Tu Premium will use quality fabrics and the latest designs and, while it will be more expensive than the supermarket's other clothing ranges, it will still seek to deliver the value for money customers expect.
With recent research revealing that £1 in every £10 spent in supermarkets is on clothing, Sainsbury's is keen to capitalise on what appears to be a lessening of the stigma once attached to buying 'cheap' clothes from supermarkets.
Indeed clothes are a major seller for Sainsbury's, with the grocer expecting its turnover in this area to soon exceed £1 billion.
